i think its still viable
and thats wuts important

wut i dun get is why ranger gets like 14938 build options
while sin only has 1 build at a time, gets nerfed to oblivion, until a new one gets come up wit, until that gets nerfed to oblivion, and then a new one gets come up wit....

2 Seconds is nothing for a skill like IA it won't change anything. Any good ranger wasn't spamming it on recharge anyway.

IA > tab for some interupts > repeat ..

What are you talking about? Even if it was 10 secs recharge it would be better than it was. It was beyond useless before they changed it.

the IA change makes me sad, but i still like running it in AB, takes out shrines quite fast and is decently annoying in the skirmishes of AB. the 3 sec recharge on it was insane, and i understand why it got changed.. still makes me sad tho^^

I was using Mel Shot anyway, it's more fun!

IA is still a decent skill. There's no use in spamming it every 3 seconds, because then it's just bait and it also disallows you to interrupt for that time.

I don't understand one thing: they have separated pvp from pve skill.
Now what's the problem of recharge 3 seconds in pve?
So why not only pvp change?

I understood from a chat ages back that creating a pvp only version was difficult, and so they only did it if it was absolutely necessary.

@Snaek a ranger has more options then a sin because the sin is a flawed class concept. Its impossible to (in the current sin design) to have a balanced build. They either kill hard and fast and are broken, or cant and are useless. Rangers are good for pressure, and splitting, whilst not being broken. Hence their options are abounding whilst a sins arent.

Personally I never really liked IA in pve, better options. In pvp it was good in ab and at the stand, dont think im gonna miss it much. Cripshot imo is better due to the pure party support it can give, either through offensive or defensive use.

Maybe the reason for the PvE nerf is IA + Ignite + EBS of Honour (+SQ), or it was just enough reason to not seperate the skill into PvP and PvE.

i don't really think anyone cared so much about IA's burning duration, but rather its ability to spread poison. that, and it's enormous NEARBY aoe (all other multishot skills have adjacent range).

Hmm, altough it was neccesary i felt they should changed it at the start, before it was retarded, then imba then good.. But now for everyone its like suckz:P

Altough quite bad since we had a 2x IA on our team and rolled several teams (tE,vOD,) etc, so it was quite owerpowered especially when they rushed throu choke and when they went out 6ppl had 12~ degen

But meh i wont use this anymoar.. Maybe in Cond pressure but overall mel shot is seeexy

Glad you still like it, feel free to use it. For me, it sucks now, there are better skills. My point is, having buffed it to make it useful, they then nerfed it back into the cupboard.

It was fun for a bit, but ANerf giveth and then ANerf taketh away again.

The previous IA was a crap combo of choking gas and mark of rodgort... now its a barrage that causes insane pressure. Previous version was useless, new version was imba, current one is balanced. AoE 10 degen 3/5 seconds is still good imo, but not as good. Its not gone, just not so imba.

IA was only weakened for the use in AB & PvE. GvG, HA, Arenas weren't really touched by the nerf.

the reason behind this is that most buffs create overpowered stuff right away. there's plenty of examples where anet buffed an incredibly useless skill into something op, and then changed it shortly after (or well, at least changed it in the end, even if it took some time ). it's not really a bad thing, as balance is good, but i understand if you guys like to use overpowered stuffs. :P

Seriously, you recon IA was imba???? Seriously? rofl, it was good yes but not nerftastic imba.

Overpowered ranger skills, rofl. ANet won't stand for that, of all the profession, ANet sorts Ranger imba the fastest

IA is sort of ok for AN now, a bit uninspiring but barely viable. Not worth the slot for most other play, and certainly not PvE, its just another nice skill, as it was before. GG ANet, way to waste your time.

At the stand it was very overpowered because it meant that 3 people had constant 10 degen from 1 skill. From 2 skills. That bar then had the strongest interupt in the game, and another interupt to spare, with another 50% of its bar left for party support.

It was far too strong. Good nerf imo.
